Masquerade

A little child with ajar eyes was standing alone on a side far away from my sight. Around him was a fusion of confusion. Then, a ball coloured in abstract caught his eyes.

He was playing, and laughing. Coloured in abstract ball was taking him to every nook and cranny. Fascinated by diversity he lost in opaque hue and cry.

A while later he found himself in a blind alley. Confounded and frightened he wanted to go back home, but reluctant to hold any hand approaching him.

He was lost. It was dark. Light was needed to show him the right way.

Then, someone patted his shoulder gently, removed his hands from his eyes lovingly. And showed him the sun shining up so brightly. And said to him which I heard from afar absolutely clearly: to see the light you need to open your eyes. And to see the right way you need to open them completely.

After that I saw him walking home contentedly. He laughed a bit at himself as he himself was masquerading the show of dark by closing his beautiful eyes...

  1. An amazing piece of writing! MashaAllah and you are correct, ‘to see the light you need to open your eyes. And to see the right way you need to open them completely.’ 💖👏

  2. Looks like my princess is talking of me … what I went through a couple of days back 😅💖🤗

    Beautifully scripted 💖🤗

    1. That’s the beauty and courage of your heart that you could find yourself in the image of a little child 🤗however, it is an image of almost all of us😊
I hope my dearest Baba jani could find some light to brighten up his sight💖💕💖
May Allah bless you more and most, Ameen ❤

      1. Yes my dear princess, we shall always be His little children and once we hold His hand there’s instant light 💖🙏

Keep shining your light in this world, which is so often, so dimmed 💖🤗

And may Allah bless you the mostest. Ameen 😊🙏

  3. Masha Allah Very well said, “to see the light you need to open your eyes. And to see the right way you need to open them completely”.
    Wonderful write up as always😎

    1. Thank you so much Cheryl for liking💖❤💖
Indeed! The image of this little child must reflect somewhere and sometimes in our lives. Obsessed with mundane hue we make ourselves so helpless that the masquerade starts dominating our insight. And we seek a false refuge in closing our eyes.
This little child within us can surmount any mountain when opens the eyes completely 🤗

      Alhamdulillah! Am fine❤
Stay blessed and loved dear Cheryl 😊

  4. Such a beautiful story and wonderfully told Saba! Very well done indeed! And containing very important truth not just for children, but for adults as well. You have a great gift for writing dear Saba, keep it up!😀😺😻😻🌞

    1. Thank you so much Sir Steve for your appreciation 😊😸
There is a little child within all of us and keep reminding us what we have forgotten so far😊
We need to feel that reminder in order to keep moving on a right track, don’t we🙂🙃
Stay blessed and happy with sweet Muffin 🙂😺😸😊

      1. Yes, that’s very true Saba! We do forget along the way and need to be reminded regularly. That is just perfect, thank you Saba!😁😸😻
Have a wonderful day, and night for you!😀😺🌞😻😻🌙

  5. Rare are in the world who protect the innocence of our life. I wish I would have every character of your breathtaking story. I want to be the person who is far, I want to be that small child amazed, frightened and contented. I want to be that person eradicating the gloom over the innocent eyes. I want to be this story. My words are too less to describe the real emotions of these words…..

    1. We possess all the characters that describe different personalities. We are the child and at the same moment the person who gives helping hand, yet we play the role of puppet with strings in our hands only; simply we are the answers to all our questions. Nothing is beyond our ken we just need to open our little yet the deep eyes which contain the plethora of divine wisdom: the deep eyes of a little heart ❤
Let’s help ourselves to open these eyes 💖
