The prostration of love

In a placid river of silence

Was throwing the pebbles of contemplation

The tacit splashes adding mystery in surroundings

Peeping through the foliage

Moonlight was laughing at me

Slowly, the moon shower met its end

And najm-us-sah’r* appeared with full of grace

Twinkling so bright

It was happy

It was contented

Didn’t it know its short span of life?

It did know.

But enough was the prostration of submission

To live life with love and grace;

It did know I might not

Shafaq* was arising from the east

So red and soothing

Spreading the sheet of love over the horizon

Didn’t it know its short span of life?

It did know.

It knew the prostration of love

That made every end loveable

Didn’t I know that, did I?

Wanted to fathom the depth

Of the ocean of wisdom

But remained quizzical

Aimed to collect the gems of satisfaction

But my hands remained empty

Was I doing mistake?

Was looking everywhere but not within me

Finally, my placid river of silence told me

Standing at the strand I was

How would I ever go in deep?

Walking around the strand I was

How would I ever collect the gems hidden in deep?

How would I go in deep?

How would I… I cried… I cried…

With prostration of love only, said the pleasant breeze wiping my tears

The prostration of love before the MOST HIGH,

THE MOST LOVING

WHO adorns the twilight with najm-us-sah’r

And embellishes the sunrise with the colours of shafaq

Bow down before HIM with all the love

HE rises you in wisdom with all HIS grace

The moon, the star, the sun, the ocean, the wind

All are in the service of your just your only

Just with one prostration of love

You swim deep

You fly high

You collect gems

You touch the sky

With one prostration of love only

Before the MOST HIGH

WHO has created and still creating this universe

For you and you only

All praise be to ALLAH!

Najm-us-sah’r* morning star

Shafaq* redness at the beginning of sunrise

  4. No words to describe how it feels after reading this poem…
How you have presented the temporary nature of life and how its beauty could last eternally by remaining faithful, hopeful and always reminding the Presence of Allah in our heart and in our life. Only then we can shine like najmus sahr. So beautiful, soulful, wonderful and graceful.

    1. And you concluded it in your beautiful words.
These colours of life, the shine of beauty is all ephemeral. What is eternal is our for our Almighty Allah.
May Allah fill our hearts with HIS love and HIS remembrance only, Ameen

    1. Thank you so much Sir Steve for your appreciation๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š
